HR Presentation – Introduction to Civil Service pensions
This presentation gives HR staff a basic overview of the Civil Service pension arrangements and provides information on key actions for employers. It also introduces staff to sources of guidance including the Employers’ Pension Guide (EPG), Employer Pension Notices (EPNs) and the CSP website. It also contains a useful glossary of pension terms.
The presentation material consists of:
- PowerPoint presentation slides
- Handouts for HR staff to take away with them (these notes are currently being revised. Please contact mycsp.basingstoke@dwp.gsi.gov.uk )
This presentation will be particularly useful to HR staff in a pensions role whether in-house or in a Shared Service Centre.

Workshops will normally be held in Coventry or London. The frequency of workshops will depend on demand. CHW can also run workshops for individual organisations at other locations upon request. Departmental occupational health providers are welcome to attend these events.
