Pensions Questionnaire and Rejoiner Calculator
New entrants will only have a choice of joining either nuvos or partnership. The choices for rejoiners are not that straightforward, therefore to help you identify the correct pension choices for your staff we have developed a Pensions Questionnaire and Rejoiner Calculator.
The Pensions Questionnaire and the Rejoiner Calculator is an essential tool for employers and we have therefore mandated its use by all employers who participate in the Civil Service Pension arrangements.
The Pensions questionnaire and the Rejoiner calculator should be downloaded and saved to the personal computers of staff in your organisation who are responsible for recruitment. You will need to insert the return address in the Pensions Questionnaire so that the new entrant knows where to send it.
CILON Calculator
The compensation in lieu of notice (CILON) calculator will ask you for the amount of salary, allowances and bonus to which the individual would have been entitled to had they remained in service during the notice period, and will calculate the loss of pension for the same period giving a total of CILON to be paid through the payroll. National insurance and tax should be deducted in the normal way.
