Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme
The Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (PCSPS), the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme (CSAVCS), the Civil Service Compensation Scheme (CSCS) and the Civil Service Injury Benefits Scheme (CSIBS) are statutory schemes under the Superannuation Act 1972.
PCSPS
The occupational pension scheme for the Civil Service providing retirement benefits. From 1 October 2002 this includes the classic, classic plus and premium schemes. From 30 July 2007 this includes nuvos.

CSAVCS
The CSAVCS gives you the opportunity to make additional contributions under a money purchase arrangement to secure additional pension and life cover benefits.
CSCS
The CSCS covers the cases of redundancy and early retirement.
CSIBS
The CSIBS provides an income to members who are injured or killed while on duty.

Partnership is a defined contribution arrangement launched on 1 October 2002.

This provides ill-health benefits for those with a partnership pension account.

This provides death benefits for those with a partnership pension account.
