The Civil Service Awards celebrate and promote innovation and improvement across government, and attract upwards of 800 nominations every year.
The Awards have been updated this year, with two distinct categories for individuals and teams. New awards have also been introduced including one to recognise the achievement of excellent customer service, and, in this Olympic year, there is an award which recognises significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of colleagues.
Finally, in honour of Dame Lesley Strathie, the Operational Excellence Award has been renamed to recognise her outstanding commitment to public service, fairness and equality. You can find the full list of categories and further information at www.civilserviceawards.com
Sir Bob Kerslake explains: “The Civil Service Awards provide an important opportunity to recognise the fantastic achievements of staff working across the civil service. They are also a great showcase for good practice – highlighting innovation and celebrating excellence in public service.
“Civil servants work in all parts of the UK and in many areas abroad, often in difficult and challenging environments. I am delighted that through the Awards we can recognise and thank staff for the significant contribution they make to this country, and I encourage you to put in your nominations today.”
