Southern jewel

Raj Joshi, CPS Director of Legal Practice and quality assurance for the CPS, won the Lloyds TSB Southern Jewel Award for Public Service Excellence, last month.
The awards, which are in their fifth year, “celebrate the continued achievements of British Asians”.
On receiving his award, Raj said: “I am pleased and honoured to receive this award and to be a part of the amazing wealth of British Asian talent that exists in England today.
“I hope that my award will indicate to others from black and minority ethnic backgrounds that prejudices and restraints in this country are being aggressively dismantled and that within forward-thinking organisations such as the CPS, they can find an environment in which to excel.”
