Selection will be by a short Provisional Assessment Centre which will be held in participating departments in July / August 2012. The Assessment centre will comprise a ‘plain English’ (i.e. to a non- economist) written report, prepared and written in advance on a topic which will be sent to candidates invited to the Assessment Centre; a presentation based on the policy report, and an interview . The interview will include technical economics questions on the prepared topic and other economics questions which will assess your economic knowledge (both macro and micro) and your ability to apply your economic knowledge to real life issues. Full details about the Assessment Centre (AC) will be sent to candidates selected to attend. More information on the eligibility criteria and completing the application form can be found in our Application Process and Guidance.

We are interested in your skills and aptitudes. We have no preferences for particular backgrounds or universities. We want to reflect the diversity of the country we serve.
