Student Placements

We offer two types of placement:

To be eligible for either of these placements, students must be a UK national, Commonwealth citizen or a member of the European Economic Area (EEA); and, be studying for a degree in economics or, if it is a joint degree, economics must comprise at least 50% of the total course, or doing a Masters degree in economics. Due to the nature of the work, the placements are not open to first year undergraduates. Full information on eligibility criteria is listed in the Recruitment Process and Guidance section.

Work Experience

There is no centrally run unpaid work experience programme at present. However, individual Departments might offer such placements but you will need to contact them direct. Please take a look at the list of Departments, where you will find contact details for the relevant person who you could ask about careers and work experience.
