Profile: Nic Suggit

Nic joined the National School in January 2006 from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister where he worked in local government finance policy. He has broad experience of the legislative process having been responsible for taking parts of a major Bill through Parliament, introducing numerous regulations and managed a number of consultation exercises. He spends most of his time developing policy skills on scheduled programmes and on a consultancy basis to teams and organisations. His areas of interest include the use of communications strategies including stakeholder engagement and marketing approaches to help achieve policy outcomes. He brings extensive training, development and management experience having been a secondary school teacher, a leadership development trainer, and was for many years Head of Training for St John Ambulance, England.
