Profile: Glynis Rogers

Glynis Rogers is Head of Community Safety and Preventative Services with London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. She joined Barking and Dagenham as Head of Community Safety and Preventive Services in July 2006. In her current role Glynis has responsibility for the Youth Offending Service, Drug and Alcohol Action Team and Community Safety Service. Glynis has a long career in Local Government, previously working as Head of Service at Bexley Council where she led the team which achieved Beacon Council status in 2004 for its crime reduction work.

Glynis currently spends some time working with the Home Office National Neighbourhood Policing Team as Partnership Consultant advising on the role of partnership agencies in the roll-out of Neighbourhood Policing across England and Wales. In 2007, Glynis contributed to the critical readers group working on the Review of the Crime and Disorder Act.
