Partnership with Teach First

Teach First is an independent charity founded to encourage top graduates who would not normally enter teaching to teach for at least two years in challenging secondary schools in London, the North West or the Midlands.

The Civil Service Fast Stream has formal links with Teach First, and we are always happy for successful Fast Stream candidates to defer entry into the Civil Service in order to spend time teaching with this charity.

If you apply to the Graduate Fast Stream you will have the opportunity to express an interest in Teach First. If you do and your application is successful, Teach First will contact you about deferring entry into the Graduate Fast Stream in order to teach.
