What will I get in return?

You will receive a training allowance of £350 per week if you are based in London or £300 if you are based outside of London. In addition, your expenses will be paid for attending our corporate events – Opening and Closing Receptions.

During your two month internship placement, you will learn a great deal about the Civil Service and the wide range of career opportunities available should you wish to pursue a professional career in the Civil Service.

What will I get in return?Apart from forming lasting friendships with other interns, you will also have access to a wide range of people – Fast Streamers, line mangers and senior leaders, who will be able to provide you with additional support and advice during and post your placement. You will receive a Trainee Guidance booklet which outlines all you need to know about the internship; you will also be able to record on a weekly basis activities/projects you have been involved in and what you have learnt. At the end of your placement, you will receive an appraisal report on your performance during your placement which can be used as a reference in future job opportunities or as a way of helping you to continuously improve or enhance your skills and experience.
