Roxanne has a BSc in Psychology from University of Warwick and an MSc in Work Psychology and Business from Aston Business School. She was an intern on the Summer Diversity Internship Programme over the summer of 2002 where she worked in the Department for Education and Skills (now the Department for Children Schools and Families) in the ICT Schools Directorate. Working in DfES gave her an excellent insight into the work of Government, the role of civil servants and the opportunities available in the Fast Stream.

As a result of her experience of the Programme, Roxanne successfully applied to the Civil Service Fast Stream. Roxanne started her career in the Home Office where she undertook a variety of roles including working in the Ministers’ Private Offices, a role as a Policy Advisor and as a Project Manager. She spent two and half years in the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit where she worked in the Cabinet Office and subsequently HM Treasury. She worked to improve delivery on a wide range of Home Affairs areas including immigration, prisons, criminal justice and crime.

Roxanne is currently the Head of the Ministerial Delivery Unit in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (formerly the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills – DIUS), supporting Ministers and the Board to drive delivery of its priorities.
