I want to be a civil servant

Summer diversity internship programme 2008

Bigger challenges, faster progress.

The Civil Service Fast Stream logoThe Fast Stream Team organises a Summer Diversity Internship Programme to develop under-represented groups’ understanding of the Civil Service and the career opportunities it can provide. The aim of this programme is to encourage high calibre individuals to apply to the Fast Stream, the competitive graduate development programme that identifies individuals with the potential to progress to the Senior Civil Service.

On the Summer Diversity Internship Programme you will join a central government department for six to eight weeks; you’ll get a real insight into the wide ranging opportunities and a thorough understanding of the civil service, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet with Fast Streamers and senior civil servants. We are keen to attract diverse talent with enormous potential to succeed.

This challenging programme is open to UK nationals from an ethnic minority background or with a registered disability, with a minimum 2:2 expected or awarded degree.

To apply, please visit the Diversity Fast Stream website [External website] HTML icon to complete an online application form. All information for the recruitment process is available on the website.

The closing date is 6 January 2008. If you have any further questions, please contact the Fast Stream team on 01276 400 333.
