Civil Service Race Equality Network
The Race Equality Network was formed in 1999 by people from race networks across numerous departments, to provide a representative group for the whole Civil Service.
By sharing experiences and pooling resources, the group has been able to develop a joined-up approach to race-related issues, and deliver many of the practical changes set out in our reform programme.
The network also has an advisory role, overseeing the implementation of new measures and policy changes that impact on staff from ethnic minorities.
