I am a civil servant
Civil Service Disability Network
The network was introduced in 2000 to act as a link between senior managers and people with disabilities. It has an important part to play in promoting equal opportunities and diversity across the Civil Service, and forms a key part of our reform agenda.
The Network was set up by a group of people with disabilities from various government department and agency networks, and provides a forum for dialogue on disability issues. It looks at issues such as what barriers prevent people with disabilities joining the service, career progression and reasons people may not want to declare a disability. The group will then propose ways in which these and related concerns could be addressed.
If you'd like more information about the group, or want to find out how you can get involved, please contact Paul Zickel, the current chair, at paul.zickel@dcsf.gsi.gov.uk.
