Profile: Sally Witcher

Deputy Director of ODI

Sally joined the Office for Disability Issues as a deputy director with responsibility for stakeholder engagement including Equality 2025 - the UK Advisory Network for Disability Equality.

Sally has experience as a freelance consultant, researcher and trainer, with a particular focus on diversity and equal opportunity. She is a former Director of the Child Poverty Action Group, and Campaign Worker for Disability Alliance. She has considerable experience working in the fields of poverty, social security benefits and social policy making processes. Sally has been a member of many research advisory committees, including currently the Centre for Analysis of Social Exclusion at the London School of Economics. Sally is a disabled person and splits her time between Edinburgh and London.
