Profile: John Bell

Head of Employee Engagement - Cabinet Office

John joined Cabinet Office in May-07 and has responsibility for designing and delivering the Employee Engagement measurement strategy for the wider Civil Service. Currently the programme includes a comprehensive research study of c.100,000 civil servants from a section of major government departments.

John previously worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland and was a member of the human capital team where he designed various employee related measurement tools and models. During his time in RBS John was responsible for demonstrating the linkage between increased employee engagement and increased business results. John also had responsibility for measuring and diagnosing leadership effectiveness within RBS, and the demonstrable impact leadership has on the bottom line.
