Profile: Graham Vale
Graham joined CMPS (now the National School of Government) in 2002 having previously worked for over 13 years in management training and development in the Ministry of Defence. He has run many experiential learning events, which focus on both task and importantly process issues.
Specifically, Graham has worked on leadership issues, personal effectiveness, change, stress, appraisal, and team working topics as well as working as a coach to Senior Managers. He is involved in a number of learning events aimed at managers at all levels ranging from Creative Thinking and Charismatic Leadership through to Performance Management and behavioural improvement areas.
He believes in the philosophy of individual responsibility in development and that true learning takes place through experience and subsequent reflection. Most of all, where possible he advocates that learning should be fun!
He is qualified as an EFQM internal assessor as well as an accredited user of a number of psychometric indicators such as Maggerison McCann Team Management Systems, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Strength Deployment Inventory and Emotional Competence Inventory. He has completed an MA in Learning and Change in Organisations.
