Diversity in recruitment to the Senior Civil Service
The Civil Service is committed to diversity. However the achievement of diversity targets can appear even more challenging when there are other business priorities such as headcount and financial restrictions. In order to address this, there needs to be a consistency of ownership or drive at senior management levels to take diversity forward; people need to know why it is important not just in general terms, but how it links to business objectives.
