About the Civil Service

Operation of the Civil Service Steering Board

Agendas, papers and minutes of all CSSB meetings are sent to Wednesday Morning Colleagues. If there are particular issues that colleagues wish to be involved in or would like to include on the agenda they can do so by either contacting the secretariat or through a CSSB member.

Summaries of the minutes are also posted on the Civil Service website.

To facilitate wider permanent secretary involvement in CSSB lead areas, Wednesday Morning Colleagues are split into 'reference groups' led by pairs of CSSB members. Groups are consulted and updated on a quarterly basis on matters raised at CSSB and the forward work programme. They may also meet on an ad hoc basis if/when new issues arise.
