CSSB and PSMG sub-groups

Civil Service governing bodies include four sub-groups. They examine specific issues that arise in CSSB and PSMG meetings and report back to the CSSB every month.

All four groups are headed by a member of the PSMG, and any other permanent secretary can ask to sit in on the meetings.

Areas of focus for each sub-group

  • Employee Relations Group - looks at any issues concerning the recruitment and day-to-day management of civil servants
  • Corporate Function Leaders Board - examines how the different functions across the Civil Service operate
  • Delivery Council - focuses on how to improve customer service
  • Senior Leadership Committee - works on improving leadership capability
