To make sure you have the right mix of skills and expertise for your role both now and in the future you can use the PSG competency framework.
This framework sets out the skills expertise you require in your current job and those you need to develop for your promotion. These will depend on your role and department, but include:
- leadership (common to all civil servants)
- core skills (common to all civil servants at your grade)
- professional skills (which are specific to your profession and role)
- broader experience (applies for SCS only)
