Equality and diversity targets
The targets we have in place help measure how equality and diversity are managed and valued, and how well they are being integrated into business and workforce planning.
The main targets were to achieve the following by April 2008:
- 37% of the Senior Civil Service to be women.
- 30% of top management posts to be held by women.
- 4% of the Senior Civil Service to be minority ethnic staff.
- 3.2% of the Senior Civil Service to be disabled people as a visible signal of this change.
The following table outlines how we are progressing in relation to the targets:
Final measurement of progress against these targets will be published in autumn 2008.
