Report on the outcome of the Disability Consultation

Profile of respondents

There were 80 responses in total, giving wide coverage from most of the Civil Service. HR Directors were asked to collate a single response on behalf of their department or agency, although individuals were not precluded from making a personal response and many did so.

All consultees were given the option of responding using a Word or an Excel version of the consultation response form. There were 55 responses in Word, 68.7 per cent, and 25 in Excel, 31.3 per cent.

A full list of responding organisations is provided at Annex 1.

There were 75 responses from civil servants, 93.8 per cent, and five, 6.2 per cent, from people who were not civil servants. Of these five, three were from external organisations, one was from a trade union representative and the other was from a private individual. Twenty-two respondents, 27.5 per cent, were members of the Disability Working Group. The five respondents who were not civil servants were all members of the Disability Working Group.
