Civil Service in the news
Nominations are now open for the Civil Service Awards 2008
Now in its third year the Whitehall & Westminster World Civil Service Awards have been launched by the Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O'Donnell.
Civil servants are encouraged to nominate their examples of best practice across a range of categories, whether it be there own individual efforts, the work of a team or the success of a colleague.
Sir Gus said: “Over the last two years these awards have helped us to highlight and celebrate excellent examples of innovation, leadership, operational delivery, transformational government and joined up working. Your impressive achievement fed into creating Civil Service Live to showcase and spread best practice across the civil service.”
“I'm proud of the many successes that the awards have already helped to identify and I encourage you to submit all those projects and initiatives which you’ve worked hard to deliver and which you should rightly be very proud of. It is important that we continue to celebrate our achievements and I look forward to seeing this year’s nominations.”
