National School of Government – International Women’s Conference

27–28 February 2008, Victoria Park Plaza Hotel, London, UK

Open to public sector women in management or leadership roles

The National School of Government is holding an International Women’s Conference in February. The conference is open to public sector women in management or leadership roles who are keen to shape their future, and the future of others.

There will be key speakers from the UK and international contributors from Nigeria, the United States of America, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Iceland, China, Jamaica, Italy and Afghanistan. It will include facilitated plenary activities, workshops focussing on topical and research-driven leadership issues and networking opportunities. The first day of the conference will also include exclusive access to the Women in Public Life Awards 2008.

How it will benefit women leaders

This event will enable delegates:

  • To learn how other women leaders have tackled organisational barriers to achieve success
  • To hear from a selection of organisations about their successes in supporting gender equality and how that has benefited all employees
  • To plan what it is they might do to enhance their leadership skills and capabilities both individually and with others
