Job Notification Service
Welcome to the Civil Service job notification service. Click on "Login" above to log in to the website. Once you have logged in, select "Executive" at the bottom of any page to navigate back to this section of the website.
If you are a Civil Servant or approved NDPB staff, you will also need to register if you have not already done so.
How it works
You can receive regular email alerts when vacancies that may interest you are advertised on the Civil Service website. To take advantage of this service you need to register some personal information onto the site. This information will form the basis of the search criteria, which the system will use to match against potentially suitable vacancies.
When a match occurs, you are notified by email at a frequency of your choosing. The responsibility lies with you, the jobseeker, to contact the recruiter to begin the application process. You can update your search criteria from the Jobseeker Profile option of the left-hand menu.
If for example you add a keyword of "SCS" and a Salary range of £60,000 - £80,000; having submitted these settings, you will receive a confirmation message that your jobseeker profile has been saved. Now either click on the "My Civil Service" tab, to display the first five vacancies using this criteria or the "My Jobs" links in the confirmation message for the full list of job summaries. Select a Job Title to display the full content of the vacancy. This list will be sent to you by email and you will receive further email notifications as new vacancies are added.
Alternatively, you can go to the main Jobs Online section and use the "Search filter" to try out a different selection criteria. If you do not set a search filter, all the current vacancies will be displayed by default, which is likely to be a considerable number.
How to register
Both Internal and External candidates must click on "Register" above to register to use the service. Once you have activated your account and setup your Jobseeker Profile, you will start receiving the alerts.
